About Me

I am an Enterprise Architect who spends most of his energy trying to optimize tasks.  My passions and experience revolve around automation.  I manage a Virtual Infrastructure Team that supports ~ 5,000 virtual servers and I think I have written a PowerCLI script to help with with just about every task I can think of.

I have been working with VMware since 2003/2004 with GSX and finally moving to ESX years later (after a career change and then coming back to IT in 2006).  I due to our environment size we have had to be creative with how we do things.  Our environment also requires 100% uptime as much of our business is a 24x7 operation.

I hope this blog grows into an archive of my tails and helps a few folks on the way.  I am also using this as a bit of history logging for my own benefit (it's nice go go back and review all that you did, especially if you are as forgetful as I am).
